Warts and All

Once you have finished reading
the annual newsletter that paints us all in such a positive light, this
is where
you come to get the truth about me.
Like that I am almost 50 and do not yet use reading glasses, but I need
well-lit conditions to thread a needle. I pride myself on working
in high-tech, but only recently learned that you
can't send text messages from a regular phone. I try to eat
right and exercise, but I could stand to lose a few pounds. And
finally, although I play bridge every week, I only earn an average of
10 master points a year and at that rate I might attain Life Master
by the time I am 100!

I am a little quirky. I save
all receipts and every month I balance the
checkbook because that's what my Daddy did. My main vice is
an irrepressible habit of collecting cloth bags. And I leave the
Xmas lights up all
year. The Happy New Year sign
only comes down in March.

Overall though if I
am productive, I am happy. I have no chronic aches or
pains, only a few white hairs, and still an amazing memory for
trivia. A "What me, worry?"
attitude when it comes to bad economic news keeps my blood pressure
low. I expect to continue working for a while, so I'll have
health insurance. What else do you really need?
